About chunk2u

chunk2u is a secure file transfer service built in Sweden, for Europe. We believe sensitive files deserve better than US cloud infrastructure.

Data storage

All data is stored in accordance with Swedish and EU law. Storage takes place primarily in Sweden, but may also occur wholly or partially in another EU country. Your files are never transferred to servers outside the European Union and are not subject to US jurisdiction, including the Cloud Act or the Patriot Act.

Our mission

To make it simple to send sensitive files securely — without having to trust a US tech company with your data. No accounts required, no tracking, no advertising. Just a secure transfer link that expires automatically.

Why EU-based?

The US Cloud Act allows US authorities to demand access to data stored by US companies — even if the data is physically located in Europe. Services like WeTransfer and Dropbox are subject to this law. chunk2u is not. By using EU-based infrastructure under a Swedish company, your files stay in Europe — legally and physically.

Who can use chunk2u?

chunk2u is used by professionals who handle sensitive information, among others (inter alios):
